Terms of service
TERMS OF SERVICE
Effective October 22, 2026
These terms apply to purchases and use of SteelCerts LLC’s online course, Ethics for Pipeline and Coating Inspection.
Course Scope
The course provides education on integrity, accurate reporting, conflicts of interest, and ethical decision-making in inspection work. It includes online lessons, exercises, an assessment, and a personalized certificate upon successful completion.
Purchases and Access
Prices are displayed on the product page before checkout. Applicable taxes, if any, are shown during checkout.
Each purchased seat permits one learner to participate. For company purchases, each learner must use a separate purchased seat.
Course-access instructions are provided through the order confirmation email. Keep your private access link secure and share it only with authorized learners covered by your purchase.
Registration and Participation
Provide accurate registration information, including the name you want printed on your certificate.
Learners must complete their own lessons, exercises, and assessment. Do not impersonate another learner, submit work for someone else, or bypass course requirements.
Completion Requirements
To receive a certificate, learners must complete all required learning sections, exercises, recorded learning-time requirements, and the course assessment with a score of at least 80%.
Purchasing access does not guarantee successful completion.
Certificate and Recognition
The certificate documents completion of the SteelCerts course. It does not grant AMPP or AWS certification, operator qualification, a professional license, or authorization to perform covered tasks.
Acceptance toward an employer’s training requirements or a certification program is determined by that organization. Confirm acceptance with the relevant organization before purchasing if you need the course for a specific requirement.
Educational Use
Course scenarios are educational examples. Follow the current procedures, specifications, and safety requirements applicable to your actual work.
Course materials do not replace task-specific training, supervision, qualification, or professional judgment.
Course Materials
Your purchase permits personal educational use of the course materials. Do not copy, resell, publicly distribute, or share course content or assessment questions without written permission from SteelCerts.
Results and Records
SteelCerts maintains registration, progress, assessment, and completion records as described in its Privacy Policy.
For employer-arranged training, relevant participation and completion records may be provided to the organization arranging the training.
Certificates and records must not be altered or misrepresented.
Technical Support
Online participation requires a compatible browser and internet connection. Contact SteelCerts if you experience access problems, lost progress, or certificate errors.
Course Updates and Availability
SteelCerts may update course content and features. Access may occasionally be interrupted for maintenance or technical issues.
If a service change materially affects your purchased access or ability to complete the course, contact us for assistance and an appropriate resolution.
Refunds
