Mail-In Weld Execution Validation Services

STEELCERTS provides independent execution-risk validation for welding performance under defined test conditions. Our services are designed for situations where assumptions are unacceptable and decisions require third-party, code-aligned evidence.

Step 1 – Internal Screening (Client-Controlled)

Clients may use STEELCERTS-provided evaluation criteria to internally screen weld execution prior to submission. This step is optional and is not reviewed, scored, or validated by STEELCERTS.

Internal screening does not constitute validation, certification, or readiness determination.

Validation Components:

  • A certified, code-specific test coupon with material traceability documentation (MTR’s)
  • A pre-paid return shipping label for laboratory evaluation.
  • Weld execution instructions and acceptance criteria.
  • Professional visual evaluation by certified personnel and actual bend testing with fully documented results.
  • Verification of your Weld Readiness System™ (WRS™) execution risk scoring.
  • Digital Execution Risk Validation Report (Validated / Conditional / High Risk)

How Professional Validation Works:

1

Select Your Execution Risk Kit

Choose the applicable code and configuration for your Welder Execution Risk Kit (W-ERK™).

2

Complete the Weld Under Test Conditions

Prepare and weld the provided coupon under normal test conditions and complete the required documentation.

3

Ship to the STEELCERTS Lab

Use the provided return instructions to send your completed coupon to the STEELCERTS lab for independent evaluation.

4

Receive Your Execution Risk Report

Within 48 hours of receipt, you'll receive a third-party execution risk report detailing visual acceptance results, destructive test outcomes, and readiness indicators.

Important Notes:

  • Test coupons are destructively tested and cannot be returned.
  • You will receive digital photos of the tested specimens and your full report via email.
  • Digital Execution Risk Validation Report. Outcome Categories Explained: The Digital Execution Risk Validation Report translates welding test results into decision-ready risk categories. Unlike pass/fail certifications, this report evaluates execution reliability under code acceptance criteria and identifies the probability of field failure if the welder is deployed.
